Handel – MESSIAH

Messiah

For many music lovers Christmas isn’t complete without attending a live performance of Messiah. Sheffield Bach Choir has been presenting Handel’s wonderful oratorio to packed audiences in Sheffield’s Anglican cathedral for many years, and this year is no exception. Accompanied by the National Festival Orchestra, led by Sally Robinson and conducted by Dr Simon Lindley, this year’s performance has the added attraction of ‘outstanding‘ Sheffield rising star Ella Taylor as soprano soloist and exquisite counter tenor David Allsopp singing the contralto movements. With tenor David Brown and bass Quentin Brown, this will be a memorable performance.
